I became a caregiver due to the fact my grandparents who both raised me both passed away in nursing homes. After I saw the care and how they were being treated, I made the decision to become a nurse assistant so I could possibly make a difference. I feel as though I have, I love what I do and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart and I truly enjoy helping others. I'm a good talker but a better listener and will do anything to make sure my patient is comfortable and taken care of emotional, physically, and personally. This is my calling and I have enjoyed these last 11 years doing this.

I've been a CNA for five years. I've cared for elderly clients as well as sick and immobile ones. I have been in the medical field as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist for twenty-five years. I went for my CNA license to better understand how to care for elderly and home-bound people as well as to correctly care for my brother who passed from cancer. I have 4 years of previous practical nursing training from West Technical Educational Center located in South Florida , where I was born and raised. I've have 2 years of caregiver experience. I am currently a Certified Medical Assistsnt as well as a Certified Medication Technician. I have always been passionate about helping others in every way that I can possibly can help. I pride myself in displaying Integrity, respect, care and empathy for others....Treat the client as if I were taking care of my parent or grand parent. I am young , energetic and full of compassion! I am a retired nurse with experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, mental health, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and dementia. I am certified in many areas of nursing and fluent with many medical equipments including oxygen. I am very out going and love to laugh, cook, do laundry(yes, really!), And I take pride in my work.

I'm a very outgoing, energetic, athletic, fit person who is very compassionate and caring, someone who puts others before himself, a father of 5, 3 girls and 2 boys. I've been in the field over 10 years and have reliable references to support the fact. I enjoy being able to help others, with everyday tasks, getting back into the community, making home cooked meals, or just being there as someone to talk to. I've worked with seniors, developmentally disabled, dementia patients, and disabled veterans. I'm a well rounded individual with ambition, and experience in all aspects of the healthcare field. An added bonus is that I love to cook as well. My family and I moved from Denver to Florida just to experience life and it's been one of the best life choices I could have ever made.
