Hello! My name is Amanda I am a 30 year old pursuing my bachelors degree. I am a very caring and hard working individual. My grandfather passed away from dementia a few years ago, I took care of him for 3 years during the duration. Feeding, bathing, changing, medicating. I enjoy being able to be personal. The 1:1 with a person to make an impact on their life. I like the in-home setting but better than a corporate location. I have come a long way, traveled the country and now it's time to settle down. I've been in the care giving field for 10 plus years, and enjoy it. I enjoy helping others, and making a difference in people lives. I'm a compassionate caring person, and I'm kind and patient with my clients. I first started in caregiving when I was a freshman in high school, and voulentered at a nursing home. I also took care of a family member for many years. I got my CNA certification shortly after, and have been doing home care ever sense. I look forward to continuing my career in this field.

I am a natural care giver at heart. Its in my nature to always being careing for others. I have always wanted to be a nurse so i can help others .caregiving is the most rewarding career. I have gained so much from my clients. I love people and exspecially my elders. I have always been refereed to as an old soul. Im extremely patient .a very good listener and of coarse compassionate exspecially for my clients. Caregiving has truly given me a purpose and thats been to make someones weeks, months or last years of there life the best they can be . There is nothing more rewarding then watching that happen.

I love working and taking care of people that need me. I I have worked with handicapped and mentally and physically disabled persons as well. I have dealt with a lot of altzheimers and dementia clients and also worked with hospice.

Experience as lna for 18 years

I became a care giver when I was very young. I was blessed to have and know my great grandparents and grandparents. so as a little girl I began to take care of them because I loved them and because it came very natural to me. I loved the feeling of helping people and making them feel better and knowing that I made a difference. Just to know I helped them to be comfortable whether it was changing a bandage helping with medication making sure they got to a doctors appointment bathing them helping them with their p.a. just talking with them mostly listening (my fav) It never bothered me to sit with someone in their final days I knew they knew they were not alone. I have to say that doing these things are my personal achievements that I have done and want to continue to do. I have a huge heart and a tender touch and a lot of common sense . I'm funny and outgoing and love to bring my personal touch to ones life. I hope to continue to do my best and bring smiles and make everyone I take care of feel safe and secure. I'm a good communicator. I believe that being so makes things so much easier and helpful in everyway. I'm always open to change and to do better. I hope one day to be a recipient of what I have given to others.
