I am passionate and compassionate about caregiving. I am very positive with a pleasant attitude and enjoy making the quality of life for the elderly as good as can be. I enjoy being bubbly and positive because sometimes the elderly can easily become depressed. I have been a caregiver since I was 14 years old starting with both of my grandparents my mother and friends and family. I realized that I enjoy doing this so when my job of 15 years laid me off I was given the opportunity to do private care for an 85 year old woman. I enjoyed spending time with the elderly taking them places if they are able playing cards watching movies and just in general helping to keep their spirits up I also enjoy and love to hear stories about their life. Personal Achievement I am most proud of particularly in my current position are that I have learned wound care and how to manage diabetes.
