I'm a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Certified Home Health Aide(California Dept of Public Health),with over three years experience in Hospice, Alzheimer's and Dementia Care, as well as experience in bathing, grooming and dressing, food/nutrition management, safety supervision, ambulation and transfers, medication reminders, and various activities of daily living. I was born in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. My dad a Baptist Pastor and mom ( the woman on my profile picture)a fine Christian woman. Both parents are naturalized US Citizens. My experienced with seniors goes as far back as I can remember. As a child, I worked with my mom, whose home was a place of choice for her elderly friends and relatives. At an early age, I learned the importance of patience and empathy, as they are required in effectively supporting the unique needs of the elderly; they commonly experience disorientation and agitation. I was shaped and molded in a culture where there is immense respect for seniors. The elderly I provide services to are treated as I would treat my mom and dad, whom I so dearly loved, cherish and respect.
