About Theresa

My first experience as a caregiver was when I was 15 years old. My grandfather was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Both my parents were school teachers so I was responsible for his care every day after school till they got home. My heart is in taking care of others and helping keep them home in there comfort zone as long as possible. I am 38, I obtained my CNA in 2000 and have worked with different companies ever since. I enjoy all people with different illnesses I have extensive training with accute, long term, rehabilitation, psych holds, pediatric and also worked for two years in a lock down alshiemers ward. The job is hard and sometimes mentally exhausting, but I couldn't imagine doing anything different.

I also love to read, and some clients enjoy being read to, which I also enjoy. I've been told I'm a good listener and a pretty good companion, as I can adapt to whatever my client is capable of and willing to do. I am experienced, caring, and am a retired social worker.
