I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 15 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. I have been a caregiver since 2009. I have a great passion for taking care of others and have spent most of my working career doing so. I have extensive experience in almost every area providing care for this population. I have worked with a variety of Alzheimer's and dementia clients as well as Parkinson's, MS, Diabetes, severe respiratory issues, Huntington's disease , cancer and those on hospice all which include many different special needs. I have a degree in Psychology from CSUS that I earned in 1983. If there's something new I'm not familiar with, I'm more than willing to learn. I love to cook and most likely can make almost anything up on request. I'm always willing to do house cleaning and laundry. I take pride in my work and always go above and beyond what is expected of me. I enjoy conversing with those I provide care for, they always have such interesting memories and history. My mission is to always treat my clients with the compassion, respect and dignity they deserve. I also work at the San Juan Unified School District with Autistic preschool children which requires much energy, patience and understanding. I am also fully vaccinated.
