As a stylist for many years it has been an easy transfer to have the privilege of being a caregiver and having the opportunity to partner with my client to enhance thier golden years or their first years. I have experience with dementia, Parkinson's, neuropathy, diabetes, ms, heart failure, ulcer, phenylalanine, wheelchair bound patients, fear of shower, medicine resistance. If bed bound I like to find most comfortable positions for them, and watch for compression wounds. I have enjoyed being a care giver since high school. Part time in High school & through hair school until current as a side career. I like to get to know the person, find their favorite passions in life and help them in some way to bring a sense of pleasure back into life, (if lost) and if not then walk along side them giving dignity and care wherever needed. I have had the pleasure of making several wonderful friendships which I expect will last into eternity. I have also enjoyed providing everything from companionship with exercise to a fully bed bound friend with MS which included bedside bathing etc. My youngest friend was 102. and even younger still infants. I believe it is a gift to find the gold in each person I meet in life and bring it out.

Caregiver, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) I started working as caregiver since I was 13 in 1976 when my step great, great grandmother was very sick and moved in to our house bedridden-patient. I did everything for her: feeding, cleaning up all kinds of messes, bed baths, sponge baths, undressing, dressing, grooming, transfers with assistance since she's very overweight, showing kindness, patience, empathy, compassion, genuine love and care, respect and dignity. Then, I was taking care of my grandparents; then, my father who was diagnosed with CML until he died on 2002; I was taking care some relatives and friends. I worked with people with medical issues: blood pressure problems, endocrine disorders, diabetics, stroke sufferers, different types of cancer, brain disorders, mental disorders, Alzheimer's and different types of Dementia, Parkinson's, ALS, MS, and more. Since I arrived here in US in 2007, I worked in six-beds board and care, Memory Care facilities and Assisted Living facilities, Skilled Nurse Facility as certified nurse assistant; I did caregiving in private homes, in-home cares (IHSS), housekeeping, laundry, range of motions physical exercises, and more. Also, my Mother-in-Law suffered with Parkinson's Disease. I was taking care of her since 2016 until she died on October 25, 2019.
