Hi, My yoga teacher name, since 1990, is Shankari. I no longer teach yoga, but can teach an interested person. I have 17 years experience as a Physical Therapist and am going back to work after being retired for awhile, and my P.T. license has lapsed. I have also worked as a Stress Management Specialist for the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease Without Drugs or Surgery, teaching yoga and meditation twice per day at week-long retreats in Berkeley, CA. I also took care of my 95 year old, frail, elderly mother who was completely incontinent and wheelchair bound for 9 months in 2015. I am seeking a companion job with a developmentally disabled person, not a hands-on caregiver job. I would enjoy assisting an ambulatory adult or child with activities of daily living, going on outings, and playing games. I am currently working for the Homeless Garden Project, an amazing organization that employs, trains, and helps find housing for homeless people in the Santa Cruz area. I have a cute little 8 pound maltipoo doggie, very well-behaved, who is also available for fun and emotional support.
