I became a caregiver in August 2009 for my father, Brian. After a series of tests my father was diagnosed with early - stage of cancer. I have always taken care of my father because my mother was never around to provide support to the family. His condition is still in the early stages, but I am worried about the future. This situation brought my father and I closer. His condition has made me realize that this is career move that I wanted to peruse. I am not a caregiver by career but by choice. I am a caregiver that truly cares about helping others and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. I am caring, punctual, respectful, outgoing, honest, patient, professional and organized.

Hello my name is Helen and I just turned 29 in Nov. I have been doing in home care for almost 5 years (will be in Jan). I love my job and really get joy out of helping people every single day. I was recently working for a chiropractor part time and am also working on my Nutrition and Wellness Degree. Back in 2012 I graduated from UEI College as a Medical Assistant. I am familiar with many medications from dealing with many home care jobs over the years. I also have lots of experinced with taking blood pressure, checking blood sugar, giving insulin injections, along with a list we can discuss in person. I am interested in helping people and expanding my career by learning more and more every day.
