Hello everyone! My name is Fatima and have over 2 years experience as a Certified Nurse assistant, and I am currently persuing my BSN. I have great experience with Alzheimers patients, and I know how difficult it can be when our loved ones are suffering from Alzheimers and Dementia. My mother herself unfortunatly has been diagnosed with cerebral atrophy, and is slolwy showing signs. Luckily, I have sufficient knowledge and backround with working with such patients. . I have experience with both Alzheimer's and Dementia patients, of all stages. I understand that it requires alot of patience and love to work with individuals suffering from such stages. Regardless of their condition, they should be treated with respect and love. My last patient had stage 4 alzheimers, she could barley speak. The only time she would speak was when I would help assist change her clothes. She would get very very angry and formulate full sentences. This really opened my eyes to reazlie that even though to all of us she seemed lost and far away in her own world, she was actually very aware of her surroundings. Or for example, she would smile at me and say thank you from time to time. I truly enjoyed my time with her. Hopefully we can talk some more, and find each other to be a great fit.
