What makes me feel great about being a caregiver is that the client is loyal,and always happy. I am tolerant,patient,humble,able to work with tough clients.I also treat the client like if he or she was like my family.I don't take anything personal.I love my job and I'm patience I'm always nice and courteous I always put their needs first before mine.

I am a very caring considerate of others I enjoy working with the elderly cooking cleaning and being a companion so they never feel alone. My mother had her on board in here and took care of foster children and I enjoyed helping her when needed my achievement is I make people and their family happy and that makes me feel good just knowing I made a difference in someone's life

What makes me a great caregiver is my genuinely love to help and be there. I don't work this field for a paycheck. I love working this field because its who I am. What attracted me to this position as a caregiver was my grandmother. I have always taken care of her and it always made her happy. I never treated her or any of my patients as work. My name is Arlette, My journey working with seniors started when I cared for my grandmother when she needed the help about 10 years ago. After that I noticed I enjoyed caring for the elderly and spending time with them. I love listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I see them and treat them as my family. I like to help them get the best quality of life under their circumstances. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time it's time for me to leave their house and they have a smile on their faces. That lets me know they are happy and feel safe under my care. I have worked with people suffering from different illness like: Alzheimer's and dementia, cancer, hospice, C Diff. My aging mother who suffered from early-onset Alzheimer's first opened my eyes to the challenges of caring for an aging parent. I attended seminars, took courses and got my Nursing Assistant certification to care for her. I learned a lot of patience and tactics for working with the elder population.
