I have been a caregiver for the last year and a half.Before that I took care of my father for one and a half years before he past away. When my father was going through his cancer and I was taking care of him everybody said I was able to make him laugh and I think when someone is not feeling well or has a long term illness sometimes just a smile or laugh can help.
