I have been working in the home health agency for over 2 years. I have worked with family members and other health care professionals. I understand the importance of communication, understanding what the client/family wants and understanding the importance of education as well in regards to health and patient safety. As a caregiver myself prior to becoming a nurse to my grandmother, I know how it feels like to advocate for them to make sure they are truly being taken care of the right way. As a nurse, I continue to ensure that the patient is getting the best care as well as ensuring family members understand in the involvement of their care. I enjoy getting to know patients and seeing them taken care of. I am proud to become a nurse. It had been a long journey prior to becoming a nurse and I am truly excited to become an RN in the future to continue my role as a caregiver, an advocate and most of all, a learner to ensure the patients are getting the best medical care.
