My personality traits are well suited to caregiving an elderly lady or gentleman. Im professional, well-educated, trained. I'm gentle and patient and kind and orderly and always tend to the details. I can talk and listen and sing and take care of the personal needs: Meal prep, clean, dress, transport, make appointments, dress. My family and friends say I have a very special gift for caregiving. I have suitable traits to match this job. My experiences with my own mother, who suffered a massive stroke 16 years ago, have allowed me to learn and use all the skills and abilities a caregiver needs. I have done it all. And I love it! That's why, in my retirement, I would like caregiving part time. I have had years of CNA training from working with my mother's staff at Southland Care Facility for almost 20 years. I am trustworthy, can cook, do light housekeeping, help with pets, drive a patient to and from wherever, locally, in my well-kept 2014 Kia Optima, help to organize their day, games, remind about meds, bathe, toilet, dress. Also, Exercise, walk, breathing exercises, tv watch and chat, read to or together. Flexibility with client needs. My own two children are grown and well. I have a 3 year-old grandbaby that I babysit and play with. I'm single many years now. Love pets. Flexible schedule during the week/ evenings, just not overnight as I have 2 little doggies and a cat. If emergency arose I could stay late or change plans as my son or neighbor could tend to my pets. I will, of course, never leave or do anything to neglect my elder. I would care for him or her as my own.
