I am caring and have a lot of patience. Being a nursing student, working as a caregiver allows me to continue and learn as I care for elderly. I truly enjoy the time with elderly especially when they have great stories to tell from the life they grew up in. A personal achievement that I am proud of is starting school after so many years. When I recive my Register Nurse degree, thats when I will be able to say is my proudest achievement.
I have been a care provider for more than 15 years. I am a certified senior companion, C.N.A, Hospice Aide, home health aide, registeted with IHSS and have worked for patients with a wide range of diseases/conditions. I believe that providing care is more than \"doing a job\", its a way of assisting the client to be as independant as possible, a coach of encouragement, a defender of diginity and a sunshine of cheerfulness. I am a nonsmoker, love pets. Provide transportation (excellant driving record) and skilled in the kitchen.
I have been a caregiver for about 9 years. I am a Certified Nurse Assistant I love being a caregiver. As I was growing up we had a lot of family get sick on us due to cancer. We gave them the love, care, and attention they needed in the comfort of there own home. From there I knew I wanted to work with patients who rather be home instead of a facility. So they can be comfortable and go through stages of life in there own home. I enjoy being a caregiver I love helping people and meeting new friends becoming like family.
I became a caregiver when I got out of high school. I have worked in all kinds of facilities in Fresno and in Utah. I have done private care in peoples home with 24hr care in clients homes. I love the work and you get to hear all the stories about their life and I feel that people should not have to go to a nursing home for care, when they can be cared for in the comfort of their own home. I am a people person who likes being around people on a one on one bases.
I am a very experienced and well educated caregiver. I love helping those in need. I have worked in a dementia unit with a variety of medical conditions and have adapted to most. I have a lot of experience working with people who have autism and/or mental disabilities. Growing up I helped take care of my cousin who was mostly bed bound and after she passed my enjoyment for caring for another person still existed and that led me to care-giving and behavioral management.
