Since being young I have always enjoyed helping and caring for others. While working in a care center with mentally ill adults for 17 years, I loved the ability to provide normalcy and genuine healthy friendships to the clients I served. I am the type of person who shows up to work and offers a high level of care at which I would desire if in their position one day. To me, it is important that no matter what disability, each person is treated with dignity, respect, and encouraged to be as independent as possible. Monitored and supervised medication staff to ensure safe preparation, storage, administration, and documentation were being completed as per state licensing regulatory laws. Coordinated clients medical care by scheduling appointments and communicating directly with the appropriate physician for emergency and nonemergency situations. Responsible for medication refills, prior authorization/TAR requests ensuring that all medications are in stock as ordered per the physician. Responsible for processing any new order (written, verbal, or telephone) given by physician's. Monitored all current health conditions for 60 clients, reporting directly to the physician of any adverse reactions, side effects, delirium, or any sudden change in clt's medical condition.
