Caregiving up and down the central coast!

Special Education: I provide instruction to students in content areas such as pre-academics, academics, core curriculum, gross and fine motor skills, self help skills, behavior control, and a variety of communication methods and leisure activities. I assist and maintain the health and safety of the students by being aware of the environment and the potential hazards of each student's actions. I also chart medication, monitor seizure activity and operate and maintain service health related equipment (G-tubes, shunts, braces, wheelchairs, etc.). I help or perform personal hygiene for students such as bathing, brushing teeth and hair, toilet training and changing diapers. I serve lunch, feed students and monitor self feeding students. I perform custodial duties and maintain the facility as neat and sanitary as possible; I also launder sheets, bibs, blankets, etc. I assist students getting on and off the bus, including students in wheelchairs. I also take students out in the community to do their jobs they've been assigned. I'm also required to lift and transfer students weighing over 150 lbs. Age experience with students: grade 9 - 22 years old. CPI certified until 2020 CPR certified until 2020
