Here's a little background of why I decided to get in to the health care industry. My sister is a NP and I've always looked up to her so I became a medical assistant at the age of 18 worked as an MA for 7 years but it wasn't until my mom got sick and was put on hospice that I decided I wanted to become a nurse . The way the hospice nurses took care of my mother really touched my heart they were all so sweet and caring , you can tell they weren't in it for the money . I've seen nurses who aren't so compassionate and don't really care to take the extra step and make someone feel like there life is worth something. I knew right then and there I wanted to be a nurse so I can give all my patients that same experience that my mother got . I've been working as an LVN SINCE 2018 and will be continuing to pursue my nursing career through the next couple years .
