The reason I became a caregiver is that I have a son who early on was diagnosed as borderline autistic and I loved my son beyond that diagnosis and he is now a very high functioning adult. I began working in medical records at a clinic and just felt this uncontrollable need to want to do more to assist the sick and the elderly so I guess this is why I want to do caregiving. I have received formal training as a Medical Assistant but unfortunately being a single mom of a son that required more of my time I was unable to go on to nursing school.
