About Carol

I have now finished, after a year and a half, of taking care of my patient. We became best friends during that time. She has been transferred to a retirement facility in Santa Barbara. I am anxious and available to start another loving relationship with a new family. I am asking you to give me the opportunity to care for your loved one! I am a retired \\\\"nurse\\\\"...not a registered nurse...but worked for 18 years as a back-office \\\\"nurse\\\\" ....medical assistant for a family practice physician (10yrs) and 2 urologists (8yrs). Since then, I've cared for many people in their homes. I can provide many excellent references. I raised 8 children and realized early in my life that I am happiest when I am caring for others. Since my children are all grown and gone raising children of their own, I am alone and available to share my experience, knowledge and most importantly, my love of caring for others.

Laurie Elliott
I have been caring for Laurie for over a year now. She is a 73yo that suffers at the present time with COPD. She has had breast cancer and then lung cancer. I do "everything " for Laurie. I begin in the mornings by feeding her pets(which I love) , (1cat, 2 dogs), walking the dogs, preparing and feeding her breakfast, change sheets, make beds, wash clothes, wash dishes, clean the house, do all errands, (bank, PO, grocery, pharmacy, clothes, etc shopping) , plan and prepare all meals, dispense and log Rx's, conduct her breathing therapies...I'm her personal assistant, plan her activities and am her constant companion (movies, restaurants, shopping, travel, etc) . During this past year, we have grown close and I love her sweet, kind and generous spirit . However, she has a very difficult time breathing while living in this environment. So, her pulmonary specialist has advised her to move . Unfortunately, I am unable to move with her at this time. I know we will remain close and communicate often. I must "move on" now and find another loving person to care for... Are you looking for me, too?👍❤️😍😘

I went into caregiving because I find a great deal of satisfaction taking care of others. I particularly enjoy the elderly. I have worked in private homes and in rehab facilities (alcohol and drug abuse) during the past 6 years. I also attended nursing school, but did not complete my course work. I have a CNA certificate. People say I have a pleasant personality and I am able to communicate well with anyone.
