Hi, I am a registered Care Provider with the state ID# 7507076149. I have been a care visitor for 17 years. I care-visited a lady for 7 yrs as a volunteer, then part-time paid through IHSS before she went into assisted living. During this time, I held a corporate job. I attended college studying Gerontology, which is my passion. I have always been involved with care giving. When my father passed, I decided that I would do what really matters to me which is care giving. I enjoy knowing that I am truly making a difference everyday in someone's life as well as giving respite to families. I am responsibl e, punctual, take initiative, am patient, a good listener and I communicate well. I feel it's important that a person remain as independent as long as possible. Often seniors are overlooked yet they have so much to contribute and share. I would welcome an opportunity to interview. I am happy to have you check my references, these are families I am currently visiting or visited for a good length of time. I will gladly submit to a DOJ check and drug screen check. Thank you for viewing my profile. ... more

Care Visitor

Janette Hurd

Nov 2017 - Present

I have been visiting with this senior for a year and 6 months. He is an 87 year old gentleman with slight Parkinson's and dementia. I prepare meals, play simple games, accompany outside to garden/play with his dog, encourage exercise which is directed from his PT, read the bible and engage him as much as possible. When needed, I assist with showering. I am providing respite to his family who lives onsite.

Care Visitor

Mariola Gajdka

Nov 2017 - Jun 2019

I visited this senior for a year and half. He is 77 and very mobile and active, however, he does have Dementia and diabetes. I prepared healthy meals, did light housekeeping and medication reminders. I assisted in transporting to doctor appointments, social events, banking and grocery shopping. Together, we hiked 3 to 6 miles once a week at a county park and always walked in his neighborhood if weather permitted. We played game s, listened to music and kepted busy while maintaining mental stimuli. I found creative ways to keep him active and we had a great bond. I am currently "on call" as a "fill in care provider" for this senior. ... more

Care Visitor Presently Still Working with Family

Corrine Kistler

Sep 2016 - Dec 2018

I am currently still visiting this senior (3 years now), however, Carelinx's site cannot reflect more than 1 current employer for caregivers. When visiting this senior, I am responsible for medication reminders, exercise routines prepared by her physical therapist as client has Parkinson's and Dementia, she is 86. I prepare lunch and do light housework. Client lives with her daughter and son-in-law. I transport client to Dr. Appts, salon visits and errands as needed. We attend church to walk daily, participate in a bible prayer circle along with helping to fold the church newsletter which helps client's dexterity and keeps her feeling productive. We attend a monthly community movie day, visit the library and other activities to keep client engaged. Great lady! ... more
