I became a caregiver after realizing that I love to help and care for others. I am very fond of the healthcare field. I have a bachelors degree in public health. I started working as a caregiver to gain patient experience to later become a nurse practitioner. I've been working as a caregiver for about a year now and have taken a CNA course. I currently work assisting residents with dementia and have learned how to engage with them to better meet their needs. I have a lot of patience and i like to listen so that the residents feel more at ease. What I like most about caregiving is the conversations I have with the seniors and the amazing stories they are able to share with me.
