I've worked as an administrative assistant for over 20 years, in 2006 my life changed when my child was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and had to have her limb amputated in 2013, followed by my dads heart attack and the death of his wife of 35 years, it was time for a break and put it all into perspective, by caring for my loved ones. I have always volunteered for The American Legion, Hope Project and the Military Reserve Camp but it wasn't until I started care giving privately that gave me considerable satisfaction, I wasn't pushing paper, watching our bottom line or answering multiple calls and emails, I was responsible for a person, their happiness, their health and goals. And how can someone you care for not become like family? Nursing someone back to health, providing a peaceful environment, even socializing at outings, cooking together, aging is inevitable but good company makes all the difference. My current clients are moving into an assisted living, they can no longer afford the upkeep of their home. Im saddened for their transition, I know it won't be easy but its also time for me to move onto greener pastures and help others. I have my own suv for transport and I love to cook, my parents owned a restaurant for over 3p years so I have some skills in the kitchen.
