I am excited to apply for this job as a caregiver/Certified Nursing Assistant because I believe in making a difference in the lives of others. I have a bachelor in Education from Africa but when I came to United States I switched to healthcare and begun with a Certified Nursing Assistant as a foundation to my future career of becoming a registered nurse. After college, my elderly grand mom was ill that she could not manage her activities of daily living and I cared for her for seven months, I realized that this profession was best for me as I helped her with compassion. Caring for her, I attained patience,empathy and passion which makes me a great caregiver for this job. Also as a mother of two children, I have learnt to be patient, encouraging, serve them sacrificially with unconditional love as individuals, and I have enjoyed taking care of them. I am looking for a more challenging job where I impact others positively and the care giving job crowns all these qualities. I'm a team player and being a certified Nursing Assistant, I have opportunity to work with different kind of people daily.

Provided nursing assistance to residents in a 120-bed long-term-care facility by monitoring their vital signs-temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure. Assisted with activities of daily living, including helping with meals, feeding those with affected sides, bathing, dressing, grooming, transportation, range of motion. Observed the residents and reported any health issues to the supervising nurse. Took some residents to the therapy areas, and helped with the toileting.

Compassion International Project- Uganda

I was advocating for children in releasing them physically, socially, economically, and Spiritually from poverty to becoming self-sufficient to the community in future. These aspects where passed on to the registered children and their caregivers through empowering them with income generating skills, health and sanitation seminars. Ensuring the children attend school, provide them with scholastic materials, and tuition. They receive medical attention when sick from recognized health facilities, and carried out regular health screenings on them to ensure they are healthy. Organizing spiritual workshops for children, and ensuring various play activities are in place for them to make a choice. I was a team leader, financial controller to the project, and to achieve success, I cooperated with other staffs, church partner committee, other stakeholders in planning and the implementation of plans. Administered First Aids to casualties. Made monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
