I am naturally a caring person and empathise with people in unfortunate situations and are incapacitated due to illnesses. I cared for both my parents in Zimbabwe before they died and understand the stress and anxiety families go through. I became a caregiver by chance when i went to England in 1999 after i lost my job as a Catering Officer at our local University where i was introduced to care giving. Despite earning wages, i feel i am making someone else's life better in circumstances the individual is no longer able to help themselves. I have had a good life , been married for 40 years, raised five decent educated children and have lived in three continents of the world. I have worked as a caregiver on and off in the past fourteen years.
