To whom it may concern, My name is Nia Fanueli, I am 33 years old and I have been working as a caregiver more than 10 years. I performed a variety of daily activities such as assisted with bathing, dressing, preparing and feeding meals and administering medications. I also took them for walks around the neighborhood, weather permitting, to allow her to get fresh air regularly. I can also drive them to routine physician appointments and checkups. I also took care of the laundry as well as changing bed linens. I like to keep her house neat and clean, I always like to be in good spirits and I like to make her home feel comfort and welcoming. I give them companionship though times of spending in conversations with her to help keep her mind as sharp as possible. I enjoy working with the clients of all ages and have a demonstrated ability to develop great relationship with them and their families. Moreover, I am trustworthy and responsible person who take great pleasure in all kinds of caregiving tasks. I am a 61 year old lady and an older mom with a daughter (16 yrs) and son (23 yrs). I've been doing caregiving for over 20 years. For the last 2 1/2 years, I worked with clients with Alzheimer's and I feel very comfortable in working getting their needs met, while helping them feel safe and reducing anxiety. With becoming a caregiver, I had just finished my first semester of R.N. school when my mom and first husband both died of cancer (25 days apart) and I was needed to care for my father as his grieving made him unable to care for himself. I then, to assist me with my own grief, started to help care for others, first with hospice, then went on to caregiving for people in their homes. I love caregiving because helping people (especially older folks) brings joy and comfort to me. The trust that clients and families give to me is humbling and rewarding. Again, working with clients who have Alzheimer's takes a special place in my heart, but I love helping anyone in need.
