I enjoy working in this field and I hardly call it work. I enjoy helping those in need of a hand. I don't like to rush and I avoid strong confrontations, but do have a strong will and the patience to help difficult clients or clients who have trouble accepting help. I have a valid driver's license, but I prefer not to transport clients in my car. I'm happy to provide transportation using the client's car. I'm open to full-time, part-time, live-in, or respite positions. Previous work experience I've worked in group homes, hospitals, and for private patients. While working in a hospital environment I learned to work as a team player and to work with others in different case scenarios. I started in nursing in my early 20's and worked as a CNA. I also have EMT training and was a dialysis tech. I'm very familiar with all aspects of nursing and medical care. Privately I have worked for clients with dementia and Alzheimer's. I've also worked with younger patients in their 20's and I've been a respite caregiver and companion caregiver. I can help with all aspects of daily living and have experience working with difficult clients.
