I became a caregiver because I have always been one a heart. From a very young age, I began doing child care and eventually became a preschool teacher. As a family member, I cared for my parents in their senior years and my husband also as he healed from his surgeries. As a caregiver, I enjoy applying the clinical skills that I have learned. I enjoy promoting healing and providing comfort for those in need. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am certified in both Home Health and I am also a CNA. As for telling you about myself, I am currently married and have been for twenty two years. I don't have any biological children but I cared for and educated plenty of them during my career as a Early Childhood Educator. I worked with both infants, toddlers and preschool age children. Last year, I decided to change my career field and switched to the medical field. First, I trained as a CNA at Pasadena City College in the summer of 2013 and enjoyed both the didactic and clinical instruction in a convalescent facility. This was followed by enrolling in the Home Health Aide class earlier this year 2014 at East Valley College in Glendora, Ca.. This course was comprised of 20 hours of theory and 20 hours of clinical. I absolutely loved working with the seniors at the Emeritus Senior Living Center in San Dimas, Ca. Now, I am ready to go to work.
