Overnight caregiver for a couple in their 90s. Over the years, wife grew increasingly immobile and unresponsive due to dementia and passed in October, 2015 at age 98. I prepared meals and snacks, fed her, changed her and provided companionship. Husband is also bedridden but very lucid so on Saturday nights, I keep him company, manage his medications, prepare meals and snacks, help him get comfortable in his hospital bed, etc. Also light housekeeping and care of their cats.

Temporary position caring for for a 91 year old U.S. Navy Veteran suffering from advanced dementia. He was very mobile and tends to climb and fall, so watching his every move was crucial. We watched TV together, went for walks, played cards and puzzles. I managed his medications, assisted with grooming, dressing and meal prep. This position was helping the family out in a pinch while they decided on the best option of continued care for him.

Assisted a lady in her 50s who had a broken leg/ankle for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Meal preparation, sponge bathing, hair washing and general hygiene. Errands such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, going to post office, gift wrapping, holiday decorating, etc. Also light housekeeping, laundry, and care for her cats. She recently moved into a new home before her injury so I helped unpack, organized her closet, drawers, bathrooms and find her favorite items since she couldn't get upstairs to her bedroom and larger living area. This was a temporary position until she was mobile again.

Helped care for elderly mother-in-law after her knee replacement surgery and while she suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Helped with physical therapy and exercise, took her to Dr. appointments, prepared meals, helped and encouraged her to eat. Assisted father-in-law in navigating Medicare, insurance benefits and other paperwork. While she was able, we played memory games and puzzles, did needlework together, watched her favorite TV shows, and anything fun I could think of to help with her memory and mobility.
