I became a caregiver because I learned at an early age the value of helping others. I like the fulfillment of the people I help, seeing the looks on their faces when I assist them with a task, or their thanks and appreciation for my helping them is what I like the most. The personal achievement I am most proud of is helping take care of my mother at home. She suffered from several stroke debilitations. I had to realize that even though she was my mother she had now become my patient as well. The hardest part was wanting her to bounce back from her strokes and get back on her feet. Even though as a CNA I knew and understood that it takes time for this to happen, I wanted her to make a miraculous recovery. Once I began realizing that she could only do what she could and I help her with the rest did this become one of my most fulfilling moments as a caregiver. I am a Certified Nurses Assistant with 16 years of experience. I truly enjoy what I do and am looking forward to helping families care for their loved ones. ... more
