Hello my name is Sabrina Avery I am 24 years old from Long Beach California and I have been a caregiver for about 10+ years now. I have worked in the nursing home, assisted living, hospital etc. I usually care for many clients numbers range from 1-20 residents at a time in the hospital nursing home and assisted living. I became a caregiver back in Iowa while I attended college to go and receive my bachelors degree. I became a caregiver because I always found it in my heart in helping those in need ever since I was a little girl. My main passion is helping the elderly because sometimes this area of nursing goes unnoticed sometimes. I became attached to this area of nursing because I love hearing the stories of what I call wisdom. Sometimes it's just that moment of 5 minutes of the attention they may need. My plans on how I want to contribute to this area that may be lacking is opening up my own FDA home one day and to give people and their families that peace of mind in knowing that their loved one is being treated with the up most respect and also being taken care of to the fullest. I always want to put their feelings, dignity, and their health first.
