A little bit about myself, I am a third semester nursing student at Sacramento State University and my goal is earn my BSN. The program is 4 semesters, I am very close to officially becoming a RN. I can effectively communicate with people of many ethnicities because I am Tri-lingual: I can speak English, Punjabi, Hindi, and basic Spanish. I love listening to others and sharing my experiences with them. One of the reasons why I was interested in nursing is because I have had family that needed around the clock care. I believe genuine passion, always committed, and hard working are my strongest factors. I am a part of a organization at Sac State called BPSHI (Bhagat Puran Singh Ji Health Initiative) and our goal is to help people identify chronic illnesses before they progress. We often appeal to the elderly population in Sikh Temple's and Church. I love being a caregiver because I understand how difficult it can become to maintain a job, run a household, and also take care of your loved ones. This can often lead to burnout and my goal as a caregiver is to treat and care for your family member with the same love and respect I would If they were my own. My number one priority will always be their safety. With a background in healthcare I can easily pick up on signs and symptoms that require urgent care.
