A Professional Caregiver that had been working as a Caregiver for almost 28 years and I have done them all from A to Z. I am a natural born caregiver and I am fulfilling my heart's desire, passion, and calling to work in the field of aging. I am very compassionate, caring, committed, dedicated, loyal, trustworthy, and very ethical in my duty as a caregiver. I enjoyed adding value, enhancing, and enriching every lives of every elderly that needs my service. Caring for our senior population is the highest calling and only takes special people to do this line of work. I am one of them. Studying Gerontology was an eye opening after working as a caregiver for many years and to actually get a formal education in the field of Aging is an added bonus. I have dozens of Certifications, already passed background checks with the California Department of Social Services and on their Registry, carry my own Professional Liability insurance as well as my own Bond besides meeting Carelinx requiremens to be on their site. I enjoyed working independently with families that needs my professional services. My hobbies are Volunteering for Hospice, Long Term Care Ombudsman Services and many other organizations. In my free time, I enjoyed writing, reading, going out camping, meditating, and simply finding the right balance to everything I do. I have co-authored two books but currently writing two of my own that talks about my personal journey as a caregiver and reaching my highest potential through personal development. One thing that brings the greatest fulfillment and happiness is providing direct care to clients that needs my professional services.
Hello everyone! My name is Fatima and have over 2 years experience as a Certified Nurse assistant, and I am currently persuing my BSN. I have great experience with Alzheimers patients, and I know how difficult it can be when our loved ones are suffering from Alzheimers and Dementia. My mother herself unfortunatly has been diagnosed with cerebral atrophy, and is slolwy showing signs. Luckily, I have sufficient knowledge and backround with working with such patients. . I have experience with both Alzheimer's and Dementia patients, of all stages. I understand that it requires alot of patience and love to work with individuals suffering from such stages. Regardless of their condition, they should be treated with respect and love. My last patient had stage 4 alzheimers, she could barley speak. The only time she would speak was when I would help assist change her clothes. She would get very very angry and formulate full sentences. This really opened my eyes to reazlie that even though to all of us she seemed lost and far away in her own world, she was actually very aware of her surroundings. Or for example, she would smile at me and say thank you from time to time. I truly enjoyed my time with her. Hopefully we can talk some more, and find each other to be a great fit. I would love to be of assistance to you and your family. Please review my profire for detailed information, and feel free to ask any questions! Thank you Fatima

I have been a full time caregiver for the last 8 years. Prior to this field i was a loan processor the Real Estate industry. Being compassionate and loving takes you a long way. One thing i knew is that i related very well with kids and the elderly. I have worked with the toughest cookies in this field but with love i got through to all of them. Most of my my loving clients past away in my arms. I would feel so special when they called me the cherry on their ice cream, and they'd whisper goodnight in my ears and hug me to say how i was an angel to them. Care giving can be very challenging at times, i am glad i have the patience and love of god to take care of your loved one with all my heart. I believe in treating one like i'd want to be treated. I am a great cook, and my clients also enjoy healthy smoothies with flax seeds which keeps them regular with BM and vegetable juices. I am proud to say that i have always been able to accomplish all my tasks successfully with all my clients. I also like to pamper them with homemade rose n brown sugar exfoliant for a facial treatment and light massage after shower.
Honest, reliable & trustworthy with patience & understanding toward individual's issues. Great work ethic & respect for property & privacy of others. Speak, read & write English. Love and compassion toward those who are totally dependent on us as it gives me great pleasure (at the end of the day) to know I could make a positive difference in the life of someone in need.
I became a caregiver 16 years ago when a few clients at my previous job told me that I had the potential to be one. They told me that they could see that it came naturally to me and that I had all the patience and compassion to do this kind of work. Caregiving is a kind of job that is rewarding in so many ways and to me the number one thing is that at the end of the day I have made a difference in someone's life. There are a few personal achievements that I'm proud of but the main one would be getting a Caregiver of the Year Award from one of my employer's. I'm a single mother with two teenager's and both my children and I are involved in our community as much as we can.We had started a tradition 5 years ago that on Christmas morning we go out to feed and give presents to the homeless and its been a success. This is just a way of teaching my children how to appreciate what they have and become productive members of our community.
I have some experience in the job and attain a few certificate here in Sacramento. This type of job is in our system of work in our culture in our home country taking care of our parents and who ever needs care and we are so fortunite to be interested in this job which is so challenging too especially in the new environment of work here in the USA. I understand this is not new but believe that the more to get into the job the more better and could familiar with everything esp in a new professional country.

I became a caregiver is because I have the passion to help people and give them the care they want , what I like being a caregiver is that just seeing the person I care for is to be happy and healthy . The personal achievement I'm proud of is the person saying thank you and appreciating all the help I can assist them with . I love working with elderly people with kids , when it comes to work I take it seriously just like if the person is my own parent and I care for them with love and respect .
I fully understand and willing accept the responsibilities to be caregiver, despite knowing that the expectations are pretty high. I believe Caregiving can take both physical and psychological tolls on anyone. As a Caregiver, I am willing to take the struggle out of the everyday routine, eliminate challenges and boost independence. The companionship, the feeling of being needed , and the love shared between the patient and caregiver will be something to remember. During my training as a student nurse , I can use my clinical & practical skills and Knowledge to help in activities or goals such as caring for the elderly or patients with certain disabilities or need special medical care and attention , duties such as assisting with personal care , Basic food preparation, General health care, Mobility assistance , Personal supervision, Transportation ( such as mobility in wheel chair) Emotional support, Home organization and light house duties and Health monitoring.
