What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver? I am a very caring person that loves working with the elderly community. I have been working with the elderly in some capacity since I was much younger. I enjoy listening to their different life stories. They have so much to share. What attracted you to being a caregiver? I find it easier to talk with older adults than the younger generation. My first job at age of 12 was with the elderly women in our community running errands for them. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Watching their faces light up when they are talking is wonderful. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I once had a teen client that would not talk to anyone. She would just sit in corner and stare at wall. It took an entire year of sitting with her and just chatting out loud before she finally spoke a word. That was a Beautiful day.
