My name is Jessica and I am 23 years old. I have been a CNA for 6 years and love working with people. I am a passionate and caring person, and can create a conversation about almost anything. I am going to school for nursing so I have a real heart for this kind of work. I first became a caregiver when I was 16, when I decided I wanted to become a nurse when I 'grew up'. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is learning about the people I care for. I love hearing stories of their lives and all they have accomplished and achieved. I love being there for small and short term goals, as well as being there when a resident no longer needs an aid anymore. I am personally proud of myself for staying in touch with many of the residents I used to take care of in my home state. When I go home I visit them and they love it. I am also proud of myself for striving to do my best in school so I can become the best nurse possible. I think it is really important to work as a caregiver or CNA before you become a nurse so you know what it is like to be so close to the people you care for.
