Cared for my mother when she was on hospice, 24 hrs a day, everyday until she passed away. Medication management, vital signs, washed. clothed, brushed teeth, floss and put moisture allowing lotion on her, including her feet. I additionally like to work with essential oils, medicinal MJ or CBD . I feed her well balanced meals but , I also feel everyone could use a little dessert or glass of wine. I did activities with her , read books to her, massaged her, kept her pain free and comfortable while still allowing her to maintain her dignity. I am extremely patient and love to help people, I guess you could say I am a bit of a people pleaser. I love to make people feel good and good about themselves. I can drive to appointments , grocery stores .I am a little OCD( I don't mind cleaning). I will not spend time on the phone ever unless in is an emergency. My biggest problem I had with caregivers , when it came to my mom ,was watching caregivers on the phone. They would be so into the phone they would not even realize I am in the room, so I can't imagine how that would make a client feel. Another one was watching over worked caregivers sleep but sometimes , the caregiver was over worked and my mom did mind them sleeping as much. I know both sides of the Job, which is definitely a plus. I like to put 100 percent into everything I do.
