I became a caregiver because helping others is what I like to do. It feels good and by the end of the day I have a satisfied smile on my face knowing the person helped is safe and happy. What I like about being a caregiver is interacting with clients, hearing their stories from back in the day. It's like learning new history. A personal achievement I'm proud of was being promoted as an assistant manager. Felt good my former manger saw a leader in me and knew I could take over someday. I worked as an assistant manager for 9months then wanted to take school more seriously. I've worked at a disability nursing home for four years. Became a CNA after my first year.
