I am a 43 year old with 18 years of experience working in this field of Nursing . I live in the city of San Francisco but I also spent a lot of time in my other apartment in the East Bay ( El cerrito City ) due to work and having a family members as well . I am a Licensed vocational Nurse (LVN) and a certified nursing assistant ( CNA) as well . I work with people with different types of disabilities and injures . And I have worked in several hospitals in San Francisco and in the East Bay as well. I am bilingual , I speak English and Spanish and i own my car . I enjoy working this field and helping people very much, I am an honest and responsible person, and well provide you with a very great quality of care . Caregiver Experience: In the past 6 years I've been both a live-in and live-out caregiver/companion/personal assistant for multiple clients (I've assisted with daily living activities, companionship, meals, transportation and medications). a) I helped a friend take care of her mother for 3 months who was under Hospice. I monitored her insulin shots and medications. b) I was a part of three end-of-life transitions working with both hospice in addition to team of caregivers to provide 24/7 care. c) I assisted my sister in her recovery after a kidney transplant. d) I helped both my mother and a friend with their rehabilitation exercises and recoveries after having had strokes. - Special Interest/Skill: Listening and Coaching by asking questions - which often assists people in discovering their own answers and in having interesting and meaningful conversations (with all types of people). - Background: 20+ years as an application programmer. - Other: If you're aware of the Myers-Briggs type indicator (MBTI); I'm an INFP (Introvert - Intuition - Feeling - Perception). I've had a life long interest in communication and have participated in numerous workshops and classes in communication styles.
