I became a caregiver after my mother had her first stroke and also brought on her alzheimers and dementia. She live with me until she was placed in afull time nursing facility.my father was also at the second stages of Alzheimer's and dementia my mother was placed in an acute facility and at that time my father could no longer take care of himself. He came to live with me after 3 months of living with me the Alzheimer's and dementia had progressed and His congestive heart failure. Thats when I learned how to do all the duties of a Cna.I like being able to help people and their familes.I've been in the position of taking care of a loved one and parent and I know how it feels to need a little help and just a break and a little time to yourself.Thats why I want to be a caregiver.I am a very outgoing compassionate caring person. A mother of six a grandmother of 11 and one great grandchild. I am an animal loverso if you have pets they will not bother me at all to come into your home and be a caregiver.
