About Elizabeth

I didn't just happen upon this profession, my mother is also a CNA nurse. I take courses yearly in the class room, and on line. My CPR is up to date. I have wonderful references. When it comes to nursing I have even more experience then the 9 years I mentioned. I worked with AIDS patients when other nurses were afraid to do so. Just last year I was monitoring glucose levels, and giving insulin injections ,to a diabetic client. I have worked in skilled nursing, and in hospitals such as: Stanford, Mercy at Folsom, and Sutter in Sacramento. My hobbies are theatre, the arts, and sewing. I respect and I learn so much from my clients. I cook, and do things the way they want me to.

caregiver for elderly-couple care

May 2015 - Nov 2016
Pam Hatcet RN- for Mr. Patrick and Mary Flannery
Voice mail: 916 281-7849 Irish family hired me to care for both parents, they originally lived at the Carlton Senior Living facility. However, they wanted to return home. In their home, the family and I made it safe. Shortly after returning home, the wife contracted Cancer and became a hospice patient. The husband remained healthy, however, a constant fall risk. They were both 94 years of age. Eventually had to use the Hoyer lift for wife, till she passed for Ca. Husband is still living, just hard of hearing with dementia, so I am including his personal RN as my reference. On many occasions she complemented my work, energy and level of concern for these 2 patients.

caregiver for elderly

Sep 2014 - Oct 2016
Meadow Oaks Skilled Nursing
Phone: 916 778-6786. This is a facility where I grew with the business. The owner began with 1 building, now has 3 on the same land. I worked all 3 shifts. He has a locked facility for people with advanced Alzheimer's and I worked in that building. Daily we had to be creative when dealing with daily living skills of the clients. Some clients moods would change daily or through out the day. We would offer choices (but limited, to have less confusion). Sundowners would happen for some clients, and I learned to handle that situation well. We conducted art, current events and exercises classes.

You are awesome Liz! I am so happy and relieved that you are there for Dad. I think he is starting to get used to the idea of a "new" and different person helping him. I really appreciate you thank you for all you do!

I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. I am willing to commute for full-time employment. I have great references and will be happy to submit them upon request.

Hi My name is Barbara Campbell, I'm a Certified Nurses Aide/ Home Health Aide with the state of California. I have CPR/Basic first aid Certification. I became a CNA/HHA because I enjoy helping others, I love to give quality care to those who need assistance. I find it very interesting and challenging to learn and gain wisdom and knowledge with each situation. I love to listen and hear ones story of how they got to where they are. My goals are to help people live their life in a safe environment; whether it be in there own home or skilled facility. To provide peace and comfort to each individual and there family members. I have 26 years of experience.
