I am experienced caregiver since 2010. I went to CNA but I did not renew my license. I am Certified Respiratory Therapist and did practice the profession.

Caring for people is a very rewarding experience and a great way to help our community and our elders, I have met many wonderful and unique individuals throughout my career in the health care field and I am committed to providing excellent care while helping these patients keep their independence and dignity they so we'll deserve. I have 10 years experience working in the field and CNA experience and HHA training, CPR and First aid certified, I keep up with 24 continuing education courses per year, have 8 years of hospice experience, expertise in all levels of care, Alzheimer's / dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, diabetic, wound care experience, ostomy and colostomy, respiratory , nebulizers, COPD patients, knowledgeable in all geriatric equipment, excellent nutrition & cooking skills, cheerful,compassionate, quality care is my goal!

When I was applying for different kind of jobs (manufacturing, warehouse) where I had more than 15 years experience, I was offer a position as caregiver of a lovely 90 years old lady, we got along since the first moment and became her part time cg. I found out that I have that special touch so much needed when working with elderly. I treat them with respect. I know it must not be easy losing your independence and if at home, seeing "strangers" coming into your house and practically take control over your stuf. That's why I like asking them (when posible) how they like things being done in their house.

I have also completed 2 complex medication training courses and have 10 years experience with hands on medication passing and management. I obtained my CNA/HHA certification in 1987 and Completed an updated course for CNA/HHA in 2017 in order to update my knowledge regarding current changes and laws in the healthcare field. I am a very compassionate person. I care for all clients as I would care for a family member. It is very important to me to make sure all clients have the dignity and respect they deserve.
