My name is Susan Kiarie. I have been a caregiver and a Medication Aide for the past 17 years, both in facilities and in-home private care, especially with different forms of dementia like Alzheimers, Parkinson and lewy body. After the diagnosis of our mother with Alzheimers, I realized how much care she needed and in return I knew this is what I wanted to do. What I enjoy the most about caregiving, is seeing the relief of families when I am there to help, in the comfort of their homes. I believe in lifting one another up when trials and tribulations arrives, because you just will never know that you will be the on sent by our God to uplift your brother or sister up in that very present time ! I have been in the medical field for 15 years now, I knew when I was a little girl I would in some way help people out. I use to take up for the disable kids while in school and I use to help the elders with taking their grocery bags in the house , help them walk if they had diffculty walking and etc . I enjoy putting a smile on the patient's face and I enjoy listing to their stories when they were growing up if they are able to talk with me ! I am very proud to have accomplish medical school and working in a field that care for people !

I have an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ivy Technical College of IN. I have worked in an Assisted Living facility in IN as well as a nursing facility. I prefer caring for an individual that would love to live in their own home independently. I have experience with Alzheimer's, mobility impairment and strokes. I am experienced in medicine administration. I have knowledge of diabetes and meal planning.

I am completing my graduate degrees, in social work and theology. I am a veteran who has experience as medic as well as over 10 years of caregiving experience. Although I am meticulous about client safety and well-being, I try to make sure clients are comfortable and enjoying their time with me. My ultimate goal is to be part of a care team that helps keep individuals in the home for as long as possible.

I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I had several resident tell me that I'm wonderful, and I had a tearful moment. It's a blessing to hear positive thinking from a client.
