Thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Yvonne Thompson, and I am a loving caregiver with over 15 years of experience. I have worked with a diverse group of people over the years, and all my experiences have lead me to become a more compassionate caregiver and insightful human being. I first started caregiving because of my interest in health and holistic wellness. I knew as a caregiver my ability to devote true attention and positive energy to my clients would be a special part of their healing process. I love to brighten the days for those who can't always do for themselves. I naturally bring positive energy and happiness everywhere I go and this always inspires my clients. My ultimate achievement as a caregiver, was being able to care for my beloved mother for several years, before she made her final transition from this world. In those years my heart expanded and I knew that being a caregiver was a part of my purpose. I enjoy meeting new people and understanding their story. Family is very important to me and so my clients often become my extended family. I believe that kindness, gentleness and open hearted understanding are the key components of my gift as a caregiver. I understand the vulnerability in opening your home and extending sacred responsibilities of a love one to a stranger. I take my purpose as a caregiver seriously and truly love helping and connecting with people.
I am very loving and caring. I treat my clients like family. I started in the medical field as a teenager I cared for my sick grandma for many years. Being a caregiver for the past 8 years has helped me in so many ways. I decided to get into nursing when my mother became sick and couldn't do much for herself and I helped day in and day out. I saw how much of a positive impact it had on her and it made me feel great. I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing Home and Skilled Facilities, Private Duty, etc. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with whether it be from recovery start and finish or just companionship and daily living activities. Taking care of someone that needs my help and undivided attention gives me joy and it lets me know how truly appreciate I am to help someone who can't do for themselves.
I have more than 18years of patient care experience 13 of which was full time elderly care. I have about the same amount of time in home care with the elderly. I also have done care in a hospital setting. I believe I am great caregiver as I am passionate about the care thats is given to my clients/patient. I believe I go above beyond patient care to be certain they are most comfortable. One of my supervisiors wrote on my evaluation that I am very passionate about my patients. So I believe that makes me an assest to any company or anyone's home
