I am a mature man who is responsible, patient, considerate and truly interested in the stories and life experiences of the elderly. I worked for 8 1/2 years as a caregiver for elderly gentleman assisting them with activities of daily living such as, bathing, shaving, toileting and dressing. I also performed light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry and transportation to doctor's appointments. My first client I kept for 8 1/2 years until he went to a nursing home. I also assisted other men for substantial periods of time who were subsequently referred to nursing homes for medical care and hospices. My long term relationships with these men is something I hold dear and am proud of.
