I believe that I have the patience, compassion and understanding that it takes to be a great caregiver. I had the privilege of working in the same care home that my grandmother is in and taking care of her on a daily basis. I learned a lot from hands on experience and enjoyed spending time with "my " residents. Being a mom of 10 I feel that I have the patience and understanding for just about anything and I truly enjoy the domestic side of caregiving as well. I enjoy cooking and cleaning, I like arts and crafts, reading and puzzles. I enjoy shopping and trying new recipes and baking. I became a caregiver because I feel like I can be a positive person to those in an at time scary, confusing or difficult time in their lives. I enjoy helping other and I enjoy working with seniors and children.
