I am a respectful person, which I believe is important to do any job. I am also a people person, which helps me do this job well. There needs to be respect between an employer and employee, as well as between a worker and a client. I have always wanted to work in the medical field, and being a caregiver is a step toward what I want to do. I enjoy being a caregiver because of the people. It is amazing to hear stories of life people have lived and places they have gone. I have learned so much about life from doing this job, and look forward to learning more. A personal achievement I am proud of is my independence. I grew up sheltered, so it was hard for me to be independent, but I believe that I am starting to be more self-dependent.
