My name is Debbie Cookson. I am an LPN/Caregiver. I started out as a caregiver in a Long Term Care facility. Then getting my LPN license 3years later. I worked at one facility for 18 years care managing for 25-30 patients at a time. My work always included hands on caregiving . My experience includes working at Nursing Homes,Assisted Living Facilities and Alzheimer's Units. i now have been working approximately the last 10 years for myself supplying Home Care for the Elderly. I was with my last client for nearly 7 years and before that worked with a client who had MS for 4 years before she was moved to a nursing home. When I am providing care as an LPN I care manage which includes med preparation and administration,working with physicians, and assisting clients to Dr. appointments. I very much enjoy getting back to my roots of one on one caregiving allowing my clients to live at home for as long as possible.
