I have been in the Healthcare field since 2008. Caring for people is my passion!

I became a caregiver because I had always wanted to be a nurse when I was younger. Also, my best friend/sister-in-law became very ill at an early age and I had wanted to take care of her but never got the chance as she passed away at age 44. My mom also became ill shortly thereafter and I promised that she would never go to a nursing home. My intention was to care for her in my home, but unfortunately she never made it home from the hospital. I vowed that if I could not help my own family then I would help someone else. I love being able to help people stay in their homes as long as possible and having the family reassured that their loved ones are being cared for in their absence. My personal achievements that I am proud of are being with two of my clients until the end of their life and knowing that I made things a bit easier for their families. As for myself, I am the mother of four sons and grew up with five older brothers.

I chose to be a CNA to help people. I was married for 30 years with 4 children. They are grown now and I needed someone to take care of. I enjoy making someone's life better. It is an amazing feeling when you can turn someone's bad day around and you see them smile. I worked in a nursing home for 6 months but there is not enough time to spend with each person. I love the one on one time with each person I have the privilege of spending time with.
