Work with a variety of patients including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, bed ridden, ambulatory, assisted living issues and those in post operation rehabilitation. Upon arriving I check patients' asking them how they are (if they are awake), their immediately visible physical condition and safety. Also check bed alarms and other patient specific equipment. Receive nurses' daily report and ask questions if needed Answer patient calls to determine patients' needs. Turn bedridden patients every 2 hours to avoid bed sores Empty Foley catheter as required Use Hoyer Lift as required Take and record vital signs - notify nurse of any changes Examine patients' general physical condition for any issues that may require the nurses or doctors attention Provide physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, and exercising Review patients' dietary restrictions to ensure patient receives appropriate diet. Record vital signs Document and report patient behavior, complaints, and physical symptoms to nurses Measure and record (INO); i.e. food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output Provide companionship
