I believe I've always been a caregiver because it was a beautiful gift I've been given, to care for others that are less fortunate, give them the care and companionship they need, with all the respect they deserve, Im a great listener, have a way with turning this around into a positive, weather it be, doing their hair, nails, cooking their favorite meal, listening to their stories about their youth, going threw pictures, going for a ride, each individual is different so I go with what makes them happy, My Grandma past away to young of a heart attack 53 nd I was 13yrs old she was not treated the way she should have been treated, I wanted to become a nurse , to make a difference, nd being a caregiver I find I'm making a difference. I'm proud of my successful small hair salon that I've ran by myself for 12yrs, and the one thing I am the proudest about is my 2 amazing children that I've raised as a single mom for the past 21yrs, my daughter's in her 5th yr of college , and nd my son will become a Holyoke Police Officer this year , both have full time jobs nd go to school, have been Blessed with my children, people I've met, and with being a hard worker.

I always like taking care of other people. I like helping them do thing they use to do by themselves but now become difficult to do along, cleaning, groceries shopping, doctor appointments, etc. Also I like hearing the stories of their lives and giving them comfort. I take care for everything and anything they need. I have been there unconditionally with every person I had work with and they have become like family. I'm a person who is devoted to her job. I raise 2 children, a girl and a boy, and now I live along . For almost 6 years I was the main caregiver to 89 year old lady with osteoarthritis. For four years I took care for a lady with Alzheimer's. The last 4 years I help a couple with daily routine, light housekeeping, cooking, driving. I have been caring for older people for 20 years and still enjoying doing so. I'm bilingual English and Spanish. Reference and background check at interview.
